Dental infra-occlusion has been defined as when teeth are below the occlusal plane. Infra-occlusion is usually associated with primary molars.1 It is also frequently associated with ankylosis, which is a direct bony union between tooth and bone. The infra-occluded deciduous molars are believed to remain static while the adjacent teeth move vertically with growth and development of the alveolar process.
