I find it enormously encouraging that two UK orthodontists and two fellow Irishmen were willing to put themselves forward to have their clinical work judged by the Examiners of the European Board of Orthodontics. Having set myself this challenge nearly a quarter of a century ago, I know how this profoundly changes your approach to clinical orthodontics for the rest of your practising career, for the benefit of both your patients and for the colleagues you have the privilege to teach. It gives me great pleasure to offer my friend and colleague the opportunity to share his experiences with you.
