Abstract

Transmigration of canines can be defined as migration of a canine across the midline. All the articles published in the literature on transmigration were reviewed. The Mupparapu's classification of the migratory pattern of the mandibular canines is discussed. Transmigration of maxillary canines is rare, with only nine cases reported recently. We report two cases of mandibular transmigration and discuss important clinical considerations.
